The air in your facility impacts the health, well-being and comfort of your staff, customers and guests. However, public spaces are breeding grounds for bacteria, viruses, dust and allergens, and harsh chemicals and odors can also permeate indoor air.

We spend more than 90% of our time indoors, where the air is up to five times more polluted than outdoor air. While it’s easy to recognize the importance of cleaning the surfaces in your facility and washing your hands, you need to do more: you need to clean the air.

GermLogic’s commercial air purification & filtration systems eliminate more than 99.9% of bacteria, viruses, dust, allergens, chemicals and odors. Go beyond surface clean to create a better environment in your facility. The benefits of cleaner air include increased productivity and reduced absenteeism, and it also shows your care for your occupants, leading to increased employee and customer loyalty. HEPA Filters

HEPA stands for High Efficiency Particulate Air. These filters are some of the most popular and widely known filters on the market today. HEPA filters are known for their ability to remove 99.97% of contaminants in the air that are 0.3 microns in size; these filters are highly effective at sanitizing the air.

HEPA filters are commonly used in healthcare, schools, and offices as they are capable of capturing small particles like bacteria, viruses, mold, dust, and other allergens and pollutants. HEPA filters, however, are not designed to remove contaminants like smoke, fumes, chemicals, or odors. HEPA filters trap microorganisms, which is why a hybrid filter option has been created to combine carbon and HEPA filters.

Carbon Filters

Carbon filters, sometimes known as charcoal filters, are designed to filter out odors, smoke, fumes, and chemicals from the air. Carbon filters are most common in commercial settings where fumes and pollutants from trucks, cars, and people are concentrated. As pollutants pass through a carbon filter, the pores between the carbon atoms in the filter chemically react and neutralize.

Hybrid Filters

Hybrid filters that combine carbon and HEPA filters offer the best of both worlds, so to speak. HEPA filters are highly efficient at capturing microorganisms like bacteria, mold, dust, and pollen. Carbon filters are designed to filter out odors, smoke, fumes, and other chemicals. Combine the two together to form a hybrid filter and you receive superior indoor air quality with air free from odors, fumes, smoke, bacteria, mold, and more.

Benefits of Cleaner Air

Allergens and Pollutants are Removed: air purification systems help remove allergens and pollutants from the air, which would have otherwise been inhaled. Common pollutants include cigarette smoke, dust, mold, and more.

Reduced Risk of Illness: poor indoor air quality can affect your health and lead to respiratory issues and illness. Air purifiers work to improve IAQ and keep you healthy. Excellent indoor air quality is a non-negotiable in facilities such as hospitals and assisted living facilities where immune systems in patients or residents may be compromised.

Reduced Absenteeism: whether a business or school, absenteeism can reduce revenue and impact a child’s learning experience. Research has shown that people who work in well-ventilated buildings have lower levels of anxiety and are less prone to Sick Building Syndrome.

Reduce the threat of infection to your patients and staff by removing germs, including the airborne influenza virus, as well as allergens without chemicals.

Decrease the number of missed school days and help improve your students’ focus in class by capturing germs and asthma-related irritants.

Demonstrate strong value and care for your current and prospective residents by providing an environment with clean, odor-free indoor air.

Save upwards of $2,650 per employee, per year in decreased absenteeism. Eliminate the harmful compounds found in carpeting and cleaning products.

Provide an outstanding guest experience by eliminating airborne odors, germs, viruses and more that are brought in by the flow of people.

Remove odor through a carbon filter that does not introduce chemicals into the air to create a pleasant restroom experience for your patrons and staff.

What we do know is that studies have shown that the air we breathe inside is up to five times more polluted than outdoor air, which can make you sick.
